Jaedan G: Final Thoughts
Overall for the amount of time we were given on this project I'm pretty proud of what I produced. We were given a little under 4 weeks to produce a game that could be played, my job was level layout, level design, and lighting. I wasn't able to finish the whole map in the time, but I was able to get to a good spot for demo purposes.
The time that took me the longest was the level layout and level design portion, I put a lot of thought into how the players will interact with the map and what different routes they could use to succeed in our game. I didn't have enough time to finish dressing the map, but I'm planning on finishing that out at a later date. I feel like I lit the level a little to much for a zombies style map, but that can always be changed.
I learned a lot about layout in this project and I wish I had more time to play around with the lighting. I got lucky and ended up working with some great teammates which, they worked as hard as me to try and form a playable game. We didn't have many issues either other than the fact that we didn't fully finish, I would say this project was a success.
